Adirondack Back Pack
This basket has many uses. The size is perfect for taking all your
picnic needs with you. It can also be used when you are out hiking the trails. The basket in this picture happens to be larger
than I usually make. This one was a special order and the customer wanted it to be 22 inches high. I usually make one that
is 18 inches high. Smaller ones can be made for the more petite hiker or for children.
Maine Blueberry Basket
I was making a basket one day and this was what I created. This is my most popular basket.
It is made with a wooden base with blue reed weaved into it and a swing handle added. I usually stain this basket in a mix
of Puritan Pine and Mineral Oil and I also will use driftwood.
Twill Weave Basket
This basket is unique as it is made with a blue reed that was stained all rolled up
tight. Some of the reed took the color really well and some of it did not take the color as well. When
you are in a hurry and need something to put all that extra something in, this is the basket for that.It has a wooden
D handle which makes it easy to carry. The twill weave is a tight close weave which makes this a very sturdy
basket.
Quilters Basket (with Driftwood Stain)
This basket is one of my favorites. It has many uses. It can be used for a quilting
project,a knitting project,little ones toys,or a place to keep hat and mittens. I had someone approach me about making
this one bigger to hold the menus in her restaurant.
Market Basket
This basket can help you tend to all of your gardening needs. It has a sturdy
base to it and a wooden D handle to making carrying all those garden vegetables and flowers easier. I have sealed some
dry flowers from my yard onto the handle. It also has a small set of tools (shovel,hoe,rake, watering can, and a flower pot).
Picnic Basket (without the cover)
This is a deep basket with enough room for all your picnic needs. The colored reed can
be a choice between cherry red, dark green or navy blue.The straps are made of canvas and match the colored reed. This can
also be used around the holidays to carry food to office parties or to someone's home for that holiday get together.
Large Paper Plate Basket
The basket is made to hold 9" paper plates. The handle moves to the top of the basket
when you hold it to carry it out. It will slide down to the bottom and hold the plates inside. This basket can be used indoor
or out on your deck or patio. Place the handle down on top of the plates to keep them from blowing around.
Drink Caddy Basket
Six cups will fit into this Drink Caddy basket. You can fill them and carry them to
the table or you can fill it with cups and wait until you get to the table to fill them. You may also want to fill them and
carry it to each individual person allowing them to take one from the caddy.
Large Quilters Basket (with Puritan Pine stain)
The first picture on this page is the same basket as this except this one is done in
a Puritan Pine Stain.
Round To Oval Basket
My mother and I created this unique basket.The middle of the basket has three
rows of seagrass, three rows of burgandy color, then three rows of seagrass. The handle is a swing handle. The bottom of the
basket has a wooden base. This is a very sturdy basket.
Maine Potato Basket
I make this particular basket in this shorter style with a stationary handle and I also
make it in a taller size with a swing handle. The middle of the basket is weaved with either a 2" piece of Ash, colored
reed, or a piece of burlap. The bottom of the basket is weaved in with a smaller reed until you reach
a certain width then you turn the stakes up. When the basket is complete, I push the bottom into the basket which makes
the basket sit without rocking.
Large Round Basket
This baskets has a ten inch wooden base. The spokes are inserted
into the base and woven around the basket. Half way up the color is added. Any color desired, may be added to this basket.
The rim is attached and the badket is complete. You could use this basket to store fruit in, as a center piece on your table,
or to store mittens and hats.
French Bread Basket
There are many uses for
this basket. Serving bread is one of the uses. You can also try some of these other ideas such as storing
napkins, cassette tapes, or using it on the back of your toilet tank.
Wool Drying Basket
I had a lady purchase
this to dry her wool in it. She said it worked great. I also have sold many of these for a magazine basket. Some want it to
store fire wood by the fire place. The one pictured here has no color added. I can also make it with any color desired
added.
